SCRIP: Scrip orders go in every Tuesday morning. Scrip cards spend just like cash, but you get a portion of your purchase given back to you to spend on school expenses. Don’t pass up this great opportunity! The school benefits and so do you!

Good Friday: Remember, school will not be in session on Good Friday, March 21st. Also, as we have done in the past, we will be taking the day after Easter, March 24th, as a holiday.

Spring Break: Monday, March 31 through Friday, April 4 there will be no school. Day care will be available. Please contact the school office if you will be in need of our daycare service during Spring Break.

That’s the Eagle Spirit: Thanks to all who helped judge our recent Speech Meet. You all did a great job and we appreciate you so much. Also thanks to the teachers who coached the students and served as hostesses, and to Mrs. Ikemire and Mrs. Amaro for coordinating the school event. And of course, thanks to parents for practicing with your kids and attending. The Speech Meet is a great opportunity to practice something that many people fear, Public Speaking, and we’re proud of our students for stepping up to the plate.

Regional Speech Meet: The following students scored the most points at the school meet and will be representing CHCS at the regional meet on Friday, May 9th. Wesley Ho, Lili Amaro, Riley Bangs, Byron Panlaqui, Aaliyah Staples-West, Gabriel Freisen-Hanes, Josh Mercado, Amy Chavez, Troy Hambleton, Mikaela Bautista, McKenna George, Emma Bangs, Justin Yale, Alexandra Torres, Emilie Luther.

Student Spotlight: Basketball season is over and the guys did great! 3rd place in the league! Go Eagles!

Encouraging Words: Luke 24:34 “It is true! The Lord has risen…” Have a wonderful Resurrection Day! Celebrate our Risen King!

Keep practicing those speeches!  The school Speech Meet is scheduled for Thursday, Mar. 13th at 6:30.  Parents and students will meet in the Chapel Auditorium for a brief intro, then proceed to the classrooms for speech presentations.

All together we collected 334 jars or boxes!  The Middle School Community Service class has delivered the food to the Ventura County Rescue Mission. We will be serving ice cream and cookies on Thursday at 2:30 as a thank you to those students who participated .

CHCS Eagles beat Santa Rosa 51-43 in our first playoff game on Saturday morning! Next round is scheduled for Wednesday evening at St. Bonaventure Gym.  Time TBA.  Come one an all! Cheer the guys on to victory!
