“What happens at Open House?”
That’s the question I got from a couple of Middle School students yesterday. It’s a good question. So, let me give a brief explanation of Fall Open House at CHCS.
First, the purpose: To strengthen our community by giving parents an opportunity to visit with teachers and other parents and to allow students an opportunity to share with thier families what they’ve been up to for these past 2 months.
So, we gather in the Chapel for a little introduction and information. We will also have 2 adorable presentations by the 1st and 2nd grade classes. Then we will dismiss to visit classrooms. We encourage everyone to visit every classroom. To motivate you to do so, we have designed a little game, which we will tell you about on Thursday night. When you are done visiting the classrooms, please stop by the refreshment tables where the 3rd and 4th graders will be serving punch and cookies.
That’s it! Casual, comfortable, and easy, yet very beneficial for the school and for each child. Hope to see you all there!
